Innov-SWAC
Innov-SWAC, the first conference dedicated to SWAC and sponsored by the European EuroSWAC project, will be organized and hosted by Club SWAC France on December 8, 2022 virtually.
This conference is sponsored by the ERDF within the framework of the EuroSWAC project.
A context of need for renewable cooling
While the cooling needs of coastal regions and ports are increasing, cooling is still mainly produced by chillers. This technology uses large quantities of electricity generated mainly by fossil fuels, which slows down the achievement of the energy-climate objectives of many countries. However, alternative cooling and heating solutions exist.
SWAC(Sea Water Air Conditioning) is a simple technology based on the
pumping cold water from seas and oceans. It makes it possible to produce thermal energy dedicated to buildings (hospitals, data centers, etc.) or to industrial processes (cold rooms, drying, ice production, etc.).

The webinar
Seawater air-conditioning cooling technology requires working in close collaboration with industries and maritime engineering offices to develop innovative technological aspects such as: a reduction in installation costs (by a self-burying system ) or supply costs (flexible pipe concept).
Many technical (like the one mentioned above) and economic innovations are involved in the development of the SWAC solution.
The webinar organized by Club SWAC France will therefore be an opportunity for all those involved in this development to present these innovations.
